When users click on the Transactions page, they can view all transactions associated with their budgets/cards.
The Transactions page presents the following data in a tabular view:
- Merchant
- Transaction date
- Amount
- Receipts
- Memo
- Budget/card
- Group budget
- Owner
- Completed date
- Budget type (e.g., On-Demand, Subscription, Travel, etc.)
- Various Custom Fields if added.
A transaction that has been authorized but has not yet settled will display an orange bulb (e.g., the first two transactions). Once a transaction settles (i.e., changes status to completed), the bulb turns green.
Charges are presented in black with a negative sign and refunds in purple with a positive sign. Charges decrease the customer's Mesh balance, refunds increase it.
The transaction amount is deducted or added from/to the customer's Mesh balance as soon as it is authorized. The final amount will be displayed next to the transaction when it settles.
If authorizations expire or are fully reversed, the original authorization transaction will be marked as canceled and the refund will include a link that points back to the original transaction.
The Mesh platform captures different types of financial transactions, including:
- Card charges
- Card refunds (returns)
- Deposits (loading balance)
- Cashback
- Bonuses
- Other credits and debits given to customers
Users can search for specific transactions using the filters provided at the top of the Transactions page. Users can also sort the page by clicking on the column name (e.g., amount).
As of March 2024, the page is filtered by default to display transactions from the last two months.
The upper right part of the Transactions page includes icons (Accounting, Saas, and Travel) that add more details (custom fields) to provide context to the presented financial transactions.
When users click on a transaction, its details are presented. The upper part, named 'Reconciliation' includes tools to aid bookkeepers and auditors in completing their end-of-month tasks.
The right-hand side of the mentioned page includes an area where you can add a receipt or preview the ones that were attached previously. If a receipt is required per the company's policies, the area will be red otherwise, blue.
Notes:
- Users with Administrator, Pro, and Auditor profiles can view transactions from all users on the platform, regardless of card/budget ownership.
- It is possible to grant users Viewing Permissions to budgets/cards of other users, allowing them to view their transactions as well as transactions of those for whom they were granted permission to view (e.g., department managers can view transactions of employees who report to them).
