Transaction approval is the process by which designated individuals review and authorize expenses to ensure compliance with spending policies and budget limits. It is important to understand, that transactions have already occurred and cannot be reversed. However, with the transaction approval mechanism, approvers can review these expenses, determine whether they comply with the company’s policies and allow the organization to take corrective action, including initiating clawback procedures.
