Travel Managers and power users (e.g., users with Admin or Pro profiles) can create a single-trip card (aka 'trip card') or a multi-trip card (aka 'traveler card') for travelers to use during a trip.
'Traveler cards' appear in the virtual cards table alongside general-purpose, subscription, and trip cards.ย The 'spend limits' of 'Traveler cards' are presented ONLY to power users and travel managers. Travelers can view the budgets associated with that card on the trip's dashboard.ย ย
Note: The following screenshots depict the view of 'Power Users' and users with 'Travel Manager' permissions.
A traveler card can be associated with, zero, one or multiple trips.
When a 'Traveler card' is not associated with a trip, it will present the label 'No trips', and its spend limit will be set to zero.ย
When the card is clicked the it will show no active trips and be inactive.ย
Trips created are automatically associated with the 'Traveler card'.ย
Clicking the card then the 'Trips' tab displays current and past trips associated with the card, including their dashboards and transactions.
The 'Traveler card' will also appear on the dashboard of trips marked as 'ended'. However, the traveler cannot use the 'Traveler card' to use budgets from ended trips.
When related to multiple trips, it will display the number of associated trips, and a summary of the cumulative amount of all associated trips.ย
Each trip has a budget and a buffer (i.e., a certain % of the trip). The total budget (i.e., budget(s) + buffer(s) of all the trips associated with a traveler card) is the card's 'hard decline' limit.ย
Important: The option to assign a Traveler card must be enabled in the Mesh backend. If you need to enable this feature, please email our team at support@meshpayments.com.ย ย
