The Israeli tax authority seeks to mitigate the issuance of fictitious invoices by requiring an ‘allocation number’ for invoices of NIS 25,000 or more. The 'allocation number' is essential for claiming input VAT deductions.
Suppliers of goods and service providers can obtain the ‘allocation number’ through the Israeli tax authority website. Additionally, certain accounting platforms can get the 'allocation number' directly from the tax authority system and then add it to invoices generated from that platform.
Read the following FAQs to understand if this pertains to your Mesh ERP integration.
ℹ️ To whom is this important?
Israeli Mesh customers using Priority or NetSuite need to take action.
ℹ️ How does Mesh handle this 'allocation number'?
Mesh can store the ‘allocation number’ with each relevant transaction. The Mesh native ERP integration also allows customers to sync transactions to the ERP with all other relevant financial codes, including a custom field that contains the value of the 'allocation number.
ℹ️ What should you do if the 'allocation number' is relevant to your business?
Add a custom field to the Mesh platform of type text and then map it to a relevant index field (i.e., Tax Authority ID) when setting up your Mesh-ERP integration. Please email our team at support@meshpayments.com if you need help with setting up the custom field and configuring your Mesh-ERP integration.
ℹ️ How do I add a value to the newly added custom field?
Mesh Power users must manually enter the 'allocation number' into a specific custom field when uploading a receipt or coding the transaction. Users with other Mesh profiles (e.g., Employee) can also input data into that field if the Mesh Administrator gives them access.
Note: The Mesh Optical Character Recognition (OCR) currently cannot scan a receipt and extract the 'allocation number'.
ℹ️ How is the 'allocation number' being transferred to the ERP?
Mesh allows Admins to sync transactions to the ERP. With the proper mapping, Mesh's native integration will automatically populate the data in the relevant ERP record.
- Priority: The last 9 digits of the ‘allocation number’ will be stored in a field named 'אסמכתא 3' for a Jornal Entry.
- NetSuite: The ‘allocation number’ will be stored in any custom field that will be added to Netsuite and mapped properly to the Mesh platform.
ℹ️ When will Mesh ERP integrations support the 'allocation number'?
The Mesh native integrations with Priority or NetSuite will support this feature starting the first week of May 2024.
