In the past, if a user needed to act as an approver, Administrators had to add that user to each company/entity and then to the approval flow of each company/entity, even if they were all part of the same organization. In addition, when approvers needed to handle a request, they had to navigate to the relevant company/entity and take an action (i.e., Approve/Decline) by clicking on the 'Pending My Approval'.
Now, when Admins add a user to a company/entity, they can add that person as an approver in all other companies/entities of that organization. In other words, There is no need to add those users to the other companies/entities and then to set them as an approving entity in the various approval flow of the mentioned companies/entities.
Furthermore, if users are approvers in workflows of different companies/entities under the same org., they will see ALL the requests in one place. To do so, approvers need to navigate to 'Pending My Approval', view at all the request from all the companies/entities, then take a relevant action.
The ‘Pending my approval’ form has now a new column named Company that lists the name of the company/entity where the request came from.
Notes:
- When creating workflows, Administrators can select an approver from the currently logged in company/entity or from others - the names will appear under 'Other companies'
- The above mentioned functionality is ONLY relevant for approving purposes. In other words, Mesh does not offer yet a centralized Administration option.
