To streamline card issuing, the Mesh platform allows administrators to invite contact-only users when a card/budget is issued for them.
Follow the below steps to invite a contact-only user while issuing a card/budget.Â
1. Log into the Mesh platform as a user with an Admin or Pro profile.
2. Navigate to the Employees page, search for a user with a Contact Only profile, click on the three dots, and then click on New Card. Â
3. Select a card type, add the relevant details, and click the Submit Request button. Please review the following articles (i.e., General Purpose, Subscription, Travel) if you have questions about generating a card.Â
4. The following form is presented, and the Admin/Pro can invite the Contact Only user to the Mesh platform. If invited, the Admin/Pro will need to enter a 5-digit MFA code to proceed.Â
5. The platform sends an invite email with a request to join, and the profile changes from Contact Only to Employee.Â
Notes:
- The same feature works when you click on the + icon and then select 'New Card', you just need to specify/select the relevant employee with the Contact Only profile.Â
- Check the following article if you wish to upgrade a Contact Only profile to an Employee profile without issuing a card/budget.Â
- The Mesh API supports this option. In other words, the Mesh API also sends an invite email to Contact Only users when a card/budget is issued for them. The option to invite Contact Only users when issuing a card/budget has to be enabled in the Mesh backend.Â
- If needed, it is possible to cancel an invitation sent to a user.Â
