Mesh strikes the perfect balance between flexibility and control, empowering travelers to book the way they prefer while giving companies the tools they need to seamlessly enforce travel policies
Follow the steps below to submit a request for a Trip:Â Â Â
1. Log into the platform with your as a Traveler (i.e., a user with an Employee Profile).   Â
2. Navigate to the upper left part of the screen, click on the + button, and then the 'New trip' option.Â
Note: you can take the same actions from the Mesh mobile application.Â
3. In the 'Trip details' section, select Round trip or Multi-city, specify the From and To airports/cities, the departure and return dates, and any desired Time Off. Â
Notes:
- The trip's name is assigned automatically (e.g. if your destination is Denver, the name of your trip will be 'Trip to Denver').Â
- In step # 6 (i.e., after you click Continue), you can return to the 'Trip details' by clicking the pencil icon on the top to rename the trip, change the dates, destinations or time off dates.
4. In the 'Traveler details' section ensure that a green check mark appears. You cannot proceed to the next section if any details are missing. If you need to update the traveler profile click the Edit link Â
Note: If you have the right permissions (e.g., an Executive Assistant) you can request a trip on behalf of another user.Â
5. Click the 'Continue' button to proceed.
6. The requested trip details will be automatically populated in the next section, allowing travelers to proceed with booking in the way that best suits their preferences.
6.1 If flights or Hotels are not needed click the dropdown menu and then click 'Flights/Hotels not needed'.Â
Note: You can click the + icon to add more destinations.Â
6.2 The available booking options are based on your company’s agreement with Mesh. Please select one of the following options:
6.2.1 If available, click the 'Search with Mesh' button and use the Mesh 'Online Booking Tool'.Â
6.2.2 If available, click 'Book with agent' to book through your 'Travel Management Company' (TMC).Â
Note: If you selected this option you can specify your departure preferences.Â
6.2.3 Click 'Book anywhere' if you wish to receive a budget to book the items on your own. Â
Note: You can click the pencil icon if you wish to select another booking method.Â
7. If this option is enabled for your company, proceed to the ‘More details' section, There, you can enter the reason and add any additional comments.Â
8. Custom Fields may appear at the bottom of the request form for users who have permission to view and edit them. If this feature is enabled for your company, please select the appropriate values. For guidance, consult your finance department.
9. Click ‘Submit’ to kick off the travel approval process.Â
10. Track your request under 'Travel' → 'My pending requests'. If needed, converse with approvers on the in-app communication tool.Â
