Follow the steps below to submit a request for a new Trip:
1. Log into the platform with your Mesh (e.g., Employee) profile.
2. Navigate to the upper left part of the screen, click on the + button, and then the 'New trip' option.
3. In the 'Trip details' section, specify the From and To airports/cities, the departure and return dates, and any desired Time Off. You may add more destinations by clicking the 'Add another destination +' link.
Notes:
- The trip's name is assigned automatically (e.g. if your destination is Denver. Colorado, your Tip name will be 'Trip to Denver').
- After step # 5 (i.e., click Continue), you can return to the 'Trip details' by clicking the pencil icon on the top. You can then rename the trip, add another destination or specify time off dates.
4. In the 'Traveler details' section your name will appear as a default but you can request a trip on behalf of another user (e.g., an Executive Assistant on behalf of a manager). You cannot proceed to the next section if any details are missing. Please ensure the traveler profile is updated
5. Click the 'Continue' button to proceed.
6. The requested trip details will be populated in the next section.
6.1 If flights or Hotels are not needed click the kebab icon and then click 'Flights/Hotels not needed'.
6.2 The booking options are determined by your company's Travel setup in the Mesh backend.
6.2.1 If available, click the 'Search' button and use the Mesh 'Online Booking Tool'.
6.2.2 Click the 'Other booking options' and select the 'Contact travel agent' if your company works with a 'Travel Management Company' (TMC).
Note: If you selected this option you can specify departure preferences.
6.2.3 Click the 'Other booking option' and select the 'Book on your own' if you wish to receive funds to book the trip yourself.
Note: It is possible to change the booking method if you wish to select another option.
7. If this option is configured for your company, enter 'More details', in the next section - type the Reasons, and additional 'Comments'.
8. Custom Fields may appear at the bottom of the request form for users with permission to view and set them. If this option is configured for your company select relevant values. Please consult your finance department for guidelines.
8. Pay attention to the approval workflow on the upper right slide and click 'Submit' to send the request to the first approver in the workflow.
9. Navigate to 'Travel' >> 'Trips' >> 'My pending requests' to follow up on your requests.
