Sync means to transfer information from the Mesh platform to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
Note: It is possible to sync transactions to your ERP from the Transactions and Accounting page if this feature is enabled.
Follow the steps below to sync transactions to your ERP from the
1. Log into the Mesh platform with a power user profile. These profiles have permission to sync transactions to an accounting platform integrated/connected to Mesh.
2. Navigate to the Transactions page and click on a completed transaction. Ensure that a receipt is attached and that the details match.
3. Navigate to the 'Expense Tags' section and ensure the transaction is tagged/coded properly.
4. Click on the Sync Now button.
a. The status of a synced attempt is reported under the integration column of the data presented on the Transaction page. As soon you click on the 'Sync Now' button, the request will be placed in a queue and the status will change to processing.
b. A notification about a Success or Failure will appear shortly after. Some integrations will allow you to click on the Success label to see the data on the ERP side. If the sync fails, hover over the Failed label with your mouse to see the reason. Please consult the Mesh Support team at support@meshpayments.com if you encounter Failed messages.
5. To sync multiple transactions:
a. navigate to the Transactions page and select the transactions that you wish to sync (i.e., add a check to the checkbox of a transaction). Make sure that each transaction is tagged properly.
b. Navigate to the upper right corner of the Transactions page, click on the ‘kebab’ icon, and select Sync to [relevant ERP: in this case QuickBooks] option. Click the YES button in the following window.
Notes:
- Employees and Group Budget owners can not sync transactions to the ERP.
- It is impossible to change information on the Coding tab for a transaction that was synced successfully to the ERP.
- If the option 'Lock transaction after the sync' is enabled in the Mesh back office, it is possible to add invoices/receipts after synching a transaction. It will not be possible to re-sync the transaction to the ERP (i.e., add the receipt). Please consult our support team at support@meshpayments.com to allow this option.
