A fuel (aka gas) card works in the same manner as an General Purpose card, except it is limited to the following Merchant Category Codes (MCCs):
- 5541: Service stations (with or without ancillary services).
- 5542: Automated Fuel Dispensers.
- 5983: Fuel Oil, Wood, Coal, Liquefied Petroleum, and other similar services.
In other words, if a Mesh customer attempts to use a fuel card in places other than gas stations, the transaction will be declined.
