A pending transaction is an agreement between a merchant and a card issuer to provide a product or render a service against a promise to move funds to the merchant's bank, also known as payment, for the product or service provided.
Pending transactions are marked on the Mesh platform with an orange indicator/bulb.
When you transact with a merchant, funds equal to the transaction amount are immediately deducted from both your Mesh budget/card and the company's Mesh balance.
The card network (aka interchange), together with the merchant, its acquirer, and the card issuer settles the transaction - a process that might take a few days to a few weeks depending on the merchant's industry (e.g., travel & hospitality may take 30 days).
Once a transaction is settled (aka completed), the interchange notifies all the parties, and the Mesh platform updates the status of the transaction.
Completed transactions are marked on the Mesh platform with a green indicator/bulb.
