The Mesh Balance Shield is a mechanism that helps avoid declines related to insufficient funds.
The Balance Shield is a premium feature and customers need to contact our team at support@meshpayments.com if they like to change their account from Basic to Premium.
Please follow the steps below to set up the Balance Shield feature:
1. Log into the Mesh platform as a user with an Admin profile.
2. Navigate to the Dashboard and click on the Balance Shield icon.
Note: You can also navigate to Company Settings and click the Activate Balance Shield button.
3. Type in a threshold amount, select the action type you want Mesh to take and click the Create button.
3a. If you select the Only Notify Me option, the platform will email you when your balance drops below the threshold to inform you that you need to add more funds to your account.
3b. To enable the Reload To Target you must link your online banking account to Mesh and fund it before activating the Balance Shield feature. In this scenario, if your account balance goes below the threshold amount, the Mesh platform will withdraw funds from your bank account to ensure that your new Mesh balance matches the target amount set.
After you populate and save the data the relevant information will be presented on the Company Settings page under the Balance Shield section.
Notes:
-
The 'Balance Shield' activates on weekdays, Monday through Friday, a few minutes before our bank cutoff time at 9:00 am EST. At that time, the Mesh platform checks the company's balance and if it's under the predetermined threshold, Mesh will attempt to debit funds from the customer's linked bank account.
-
When the 'Balance Shield' is set up, there will be a hold time of up to 4 days. Mesh will reduce the hold time after several successful deposits to the point where funds will move within five minutes of the cutoff time to the customer's balance @ Mesh.
- The 'Balance Shield' might NOT trigger if the customer has 'pending' deposits that create a total balance above the 'Threshold Amount'.
