As soon as Mesh Administrators assign a Plug & Pay™ physical card to Employees the platform will send relevant notifications via email and text with a request to activate the new Plug & Pay card.
Please follow the steps below to activate a Plug & Pay card as an Employee:
1. Log into the Mesh platform.
a. The platform will present the following message on the top of your screen and you can click on the Plug & Pay Card link.
b. You can also click on the + icon and then on the Activate Plug & Pay Card link.
2. Enter the card's CID, and click on the Next button.
Note: The CID is printed on the back of the card under the magnetic strip.
3. Enter a 4-digit PIN twice, and click on the Next button.
4. Accept the budget/card that your Administrator selected for you, or pair a new budget/card from the dropdown menu, or click on the Connect later option and then click on the Activate button.
Note: If there are no errors, the platform will present a success message. At this point, your Plug & Pay card is activated and ready to use.
5a. You can use your Mesh Mobile App to switch between budgets/cards connected to your Plug & Pay™ card. Click on the P&P icon and simply tap on the budget/card that you wish to use.
5b. Users can click on the 3 dots and perform several activities including resetting their PIN code.
Note:
- Each user can be assigned one Plug & Pay card.
- Each Plug & Pay card can be paired with one Virtual card.
- Users can pair either a General-Purpose, a Fuel, or a Travel virtual card with their Plug & Pay card.
- It is not possible to pair a Subscription card with a Plug & Pay card.
- The physical card has a sticker with a QR code that takes you here. The link includes steps to activate the card on the employee's end.
- The new Mesh P&P cards support the NFC protocol (i.e., tap to pay). To activate the card's NFC feature, users need to perform a regular non-NFC transaction (swipe the magnetic stripe or insert the card into a slot to scan its chip.) first, after which the NFC function will be activated.
