The two main budgets/cards that Mesh offers are Subscription and General Purpose.
- A 'Subscription and Saas' card is designed to be used multiple times for recurring purchases with a specific merchant/vendor. Its use cases include paying for goods/services with a recurring schedule (e.g., software licenses, building materials, utilities, etc.).
- A 'General Purpose' card can be used one time (i.e., single-use) or multiple times (i.e., lifetime) with multiple vendors. When users request this budget/card, they need to enter a spending purpose (e.g., Office Supplies), not a merchant/vendor. Its use cases include office supplies, business trips, team outings, meals, gifts, or other related expenses.
To mitigate risks and improve visibility over the company's expenses, we recommend creating a distinct Mesh budget/card, with unique controls, for each expense.
